What follows applies to leadingleap.com, where Leadingleap publishes Leadingleap. It covers what we collect, who else is involved, and the rights you hold.

The Information Involved

We may record the usual technical details of a visit (IP address, device, browser, referrer, pages requested) together with anything you volunteer: your email address if you subscribe, and the name and address attached to any comment you post.

• Worth saying outright, since it is the question we get asked: we ask readers not to send us sensitive personal details, and we delete rather than retain anything of that kind that reaches us unprompted.

Third Parties

Several providers may be involved in delivering leadingleap.com — hosting, analytics, email delivery, and advertising networks. Where a provider determines its own purposes (advertising and analytics vendors typically do), it is an independent controller and its policy governs what it does.

Keeping Data Safe

We do not keep data indefinitely. Analytics expires per the provider’s policy, newsletter data ends when you unsubscribe, comment data ends when the comment goes. What We Do With It

Uses are: site operation and security, aggregate traffic analysis so we know what to write next, fulfilment of newsletter subscriptions, and support for advertising where advertising is being served.

Nobody joins the list without confirming from their own inbox. Once on it, you can leave via the unsubscribe link in any email, and we include our postal address in every send as the law requires. The list is not sold or shared.

Not for Children

This is not a children’s site. It is not directed to under-13s (or under-16s where that threshold applies), no data is knowingly collected from them, and any that arrives is deleted once identified.
